LOS ANGELES – Gonzaga's Corey Kispert, Jalen Suggs and Drew Timme have been named to the 2021 John R. Wooden Award Presented by Wendy's All-American Team the Los Angeles Athletic Club announced Friday. Gonzaga becomes the first school in the Award's history to have three players named to the ten-man Wooden Award All American Team. Kispert was named a finalist for the 2021 John R. Wooden Award Presented by Wendy's Men's Player of the Year.
 
The Wooden Award All-American Team is comprised of ten student athletes who were the top vote-getters in the quest to
earn college basketball's most prestigious honor. The ten-player team, alphabetically, consists of: Jared Butler (Baylor), Kofi Cockburn (Illinois), Cade Cunningham (Oklahoma State), Hunter Dickinson (Michigan), Ayo Dosunmu (Illinois), Luka Garza (Iowa), Corey Kispert (Gonzaga), Evan Mobley (USC), Jalen Suggs (Gonzaga), and Drew Timme (Gonzaga).
 
The five finalists for the are: Butler, Cunningham, Dosunmu, Garza, and Kispert.
 
Voting took place from March 15-22. As insisted upon by Coach Wooden at the Award's creation 44 years ago, all players were certified by their universities as meeting or exceeding the criteria of the John R. Wooden Award. The 45ᵗʰ annual presentation of the John R. Wooden Award to the men's and women's most outstanding college basketball player will take place on SportsCenter on ESPN on April 6.
