LAHAINA, Hawaii – Gonzaga men's golf finished its fall schedule in 17
th place at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic Sunday.
Guillermo Polo Bodart led the Bulldogs tying for 40
th at one-under (212). He opened the tournament at one-over (72), before an even-par (71) second round. The freshman carded a 69 (-2) in the final round. He made three birdies and 14 pars Sunday. Polo Bodart made 37 pars in the tournament and was one-under (2.92) on the course's Par-3 holes.
As a team the Zags made 164 pars over the three days, which were the fifth-most in the 20-team field. GU was nine-under (275) in the final round, matching the third-lowest round in program history. It was also the lowest Bulldog round since 2018. Gonzaga finished 10-over (862).
Zach Stocker and Ethan Flynn tied for 67
th at two-over (215). Stocker climbed 24 spots in the final round after carding a 67 (-4) on Day 3. He made five birdies and 12 pars Sunday. He was three-over (74) in both the first and second rounds. Flynn rose 18 spots after a 68 (-3) in the final round, making five birdies and 11 pars.
Jace Minni was even-par (71) in the third round. He moved up nine spots on Day 3, after making three birdies and 12 pars. He tied for 90
th at seven-over (220).
Brentt Salas was 14-over (227) in the tournament. He was one-over (72) in the final round, making an eagle on the Par-5 sixth hole.
Clemson's Andrew Swanson took medalist honors at 18-under (195). North Florida's Nick Gabrelcik was second at 16-under (197). No. 11 Oklahoma took the team title. The Sooners were 41-under (811), and held off Clemson, which was second at 29-under (823).
Gonzaga starts its spring schedule with the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational in St. George, Utah, Feb. 10-12.
