The Zags take on No. 11 Tennessee tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Despite three Zags scoring in double figures, Gonzaga women's basketball fell just short to Marquette, 70-66, in the second game of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

Both Brynna Maxwell and Kaylynne Truong scored 18 points as Eliza Hollingsworth also scored 12. Yvonne Ejim led the team in rebound with 11 and scored nine points, just short of her second double double of the year.

Marquette came out in the second quarter and outscored the Zags 24-15 to take a halftime lead of 39-32.

The Zags came out fighting in the third quarter and went on to outscore Marquette 22-15 in the frame. Maxwell led the team with eight points and three rebounds.

Kaylynne Troung made an incredible buzzer beater at the end of the third as she shot from beyond half court to tie the game at 54-54.

It came down to the final seconds in the fourth quarter as the Zags had a couple opportunities to tie the game with a three-pointer. Maxwell drew a foul with 25 seconds left and drained both free throws to make it a one-point game at 66-67.

Gonzaga used a foul to stop the clock, which gave the Golden Eagles a couple of free throws to give themselves a three-point lead. Maxwell took a three pointer with nine seconds left and Hollingsworth fought for an offensive rebound and dished it to Ejim, who was stopped by Marquette with only four seconds left. The Zags gave another foul to stop the clock and Marquette's Jordan King made one of two free throws to give the Golden Eagles the four-point win.

Overall, the Bulldogs shot at 36.4 percent as Marquette shot at 39.7 percent. GU forced 13 turnovers and scored 17 points off those miscues. Twenty points also came from inside the paint.
