
Women's Golf Finishes in 13th in Las Vegas

Duong ties for 24th on leaderboard
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Gonzaga women's golf finished 13th (+50, 914) in their first tournament of the spring season at The Show at Spanish Trail, hosted by UNLV. In the final round, the Zags shot 34-over (322). They finished with 154 pars and 30 birdies for the tournament.
Quynn Duong finished in a tie for 24th, shooting eight-over (80) in Round 3. She made ten pars and two birdies on the day, bringing her tournament total to 34 and nine.
Chaewon Baek completed her final round with a score of six-over (78) to finish in a tie for 32nd place at nine-over (225). Tallying 12 pars and one birdie in the third round, she combined to make 34 pars and seven birdies overall.
Junior Cassie Kim turned in a score of nine-over (81) in Tuesday's final round, finishing in a tie for 58th place at 15-over (231). Mary Scott Wolfe (+26, 242) finished in 81st place and Kaysa Panke (+28, 244) finished in 84th.
Nevada's Leah John finished atop the individual leaderboard at four-under (212), edging UNLV's Kendall Todd (-2, 214) by two strokes. Tournament host UNLV won the team title, combining to shoot four-over (860).
The Zags are back in action on February 28-March 1 at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona. The two-day tournament is hosted by Grand Canyon University and will be played at the GCU Golf Course. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
