SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women's basketball team is ranked No. 23 in the most recent Associated Press Poll that was released Monday morning. The Bulldogs collected 104 votes following their dominant win over No. 3 Stanford on Sunday
The Zags were last ranked last season and reached as high as No. 15. The highest ranking the Zags have ever reached in the poll was No. 11 in the 2019-20 season.
The Bulldogs are off to an 8-2 start this season with the highest ranked win in program history over No. 3 Stanford. Through 10 games, the Zags are averaging 82.7 points per game and shooting 49 percent from the floor. Five Bulldogs are averaging in double-figures including
Yvonne Ejim (20),
Kayleigh Truong (13.8)
Brynna Maxwell (13.7),
Kaylynne Truong (12.4) and
Eliza Hollingsworth (10.4).
Gonzaga will hit the road this week to play Cal on Dec. 7 and at Rice on Dec. 9.
