Men’s Golf Places Fourth in California

Stocker ties for sixth at one-under

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif.– Gonzaga men's golf placed fourth at The Joust tournament hosted by Cal Baptist on Tuesday. The tournament was halted for darkness prior to the completion of the second round Monday.
 
Zack Stocker tied for sixth place at one under (214). He carded a 71 (E) in the first round before finishing his final rounds at 72 (+1) and 71 (E). Stocker made 34 pars, 10 birdies, and an eagle during the two-day event. On the course's Par-3 holes, he went one-over (3.07).
 
Gonzaga, as a team, finished 16-over (868) in the tournament. The Zags scored a 285 (+6) in Round 3, their lowest round of the tournament.
 
Guillermo Polo Bodart tied for 18th at six-over (219). He shot a 71 (E) in his second round. Polo Bodart made 36 pars, which was good for third most in the tournament. On the course's Par-4 holes, he went one-over (4.04).
 
Jace Minni and Clayton Thatcher tied for 24th at seven-over (220). Minni made 35 pars, while Thatcher was four-under (4.67) on the course's Par-5 holes. Ethan Flynn tied for 49th at 11-over (224) and Andrew Reinhardt was 39-over (252) for the tournament.
 
CSU Fullerton's Garrett Boe tied with California Baptist's Eeli Kujanpaa for medalist honors at five-under (208). CSU Fullerton took the team title at three-over (885). The Titans held off UC Irvine, which was seven-over (859).
 
Next up Gonzaga is in Phoenix, Ariz., at the Grand Canyon Invitation on March 13-14.
