PULLMAN, Wash. – Gonzaga women's golfer Cassie Kim plays as an individual for the 2023 NCAA Regionals beginning Monday.

Kim will compete in the Pullman Regional at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club through Wednesday. The senior's first round tees off Monday at 9:50 a.m.

Regional play will take place May 8-10 at six regional sites, with a total of 396 student-athletes competing. All six regional sites will have 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site, 156 student-athletes total, will advance to play in the national championships to be played May 19-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. Championship play will be hosted by Arizona State and The Thunderbirds, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.

Kim finished the regular season with a team-best 73.30 average round score, which ranks fifth all-time in program history. She has a 74.82 career round average in 91 rounds, which ranks fourth all-time at GU. She had five of her 10 Top-10 finishes this season, two of her four Top-5 finishes were also in 2022-23. Kim earned co-medalist honors at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Oct. 26 and was named the WCC co-Golfer of the Month in March. She matched the team's low round of the season at 67 (-5) in the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.

At the West Coast Conference Championships, Kim was two-over (218) in a tie for sixth place. The senior also had her best round on Day 3 at two-under (70). She climbed seven spots on the leaderboard with five birdies in the third round, all on the front-nine. The Yakima, Wash., native, had 13 birdies in the event, the third-most in the field. She was also four-under (4.67) on the course's Par-5 holes, which was the second-best average in the tournament.

Kim is the first Zag chosen for the NCAA Regionals since Bianca Pagdanganan earned an invitation in 2017 starting in Albuquerque, N.M., before advancing to the NCAA Championships in Sugar Grove, Ill.
