Gonzaga opened the tournament by seeing two freshman Zags earn their first victories with the program. To start, Gonzaga senior Kianna Oda and freshman Emily Robertson picked up an impressive 8-5 victory in their Round of 16 match against Fresno State's Charlotte Gisclon and Carolina Piferi. Shortly after, Gonzaga sophomore Rose Hayes and freshman Ella Nielen also found success, defeating Nevada's Gabriella Charalampidi and Kennedy Robinson by a score of 8-6 in the Round of 16.
Gonzaga junior Caroline Wernli and freshman Lia Espinal also performed in the doubles competition, battling hard, but dropping their Quarterfinal match against Sacramento State's Grace McSkimming and Utah's Isabella Pitchford by a score of 8-2.
Moving to the singles competition, Wernli clinched a gritty victory in her first round match, ending with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.
