SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga student-athletes earned a record total of 229 academic honors and combined to post a departmental 3.52 grade-point average, which ranks third in department history, with a record 55 perfect 4.0 GPAs for the Fall 2023 semester.
Of the 229 student-athletes to earn University honors, a 107 earned their way onto the President's List (3.85-4.0 GPA), which ranks second all-time, while 122 were named to the Dean's List (3.50-3.84 GPA) for the semester, which also ranks second all-time. GU's combined GPA of 3.52 marks the 16th consecutive semester that the student-athletes combined to post over a 3.30.
The Gonzaga men's tennis team posted the department's highest team GPA of 3.78. The women's and men's golf teams both followed at 3.70. Women's basketball (3.64) and men's soccer (3.58) earned program GPA records.
Gonzaga's women's rowing had 46 team members earn their way onto honors lists, the highest team total, including a department-high 29 on the President's list. Men's rowing followed with 29 student-athletes on honors lists, with a department-best 20 on the Dean's List.
