
Men’s Golf Opens Season in Pullman

Bulldogs place 13th as a team
PULLMAN, Wash. – Gonzaga men's golf started their season at the Palouse Collegiate Tuesday and Wednesday. The Bulldogs finished in 13th place on the Palouse Ridge Golf Course.
Ethan Flynn led GU with a 38th place individual finish at one-under (212). The junior opened with back-to-back rounds of 72 (+1) in the first and second round Tuesday, before carding a 68 (-3) in the final round.
Charlie Olson and Bruce Chang both tied for 48th place at one-over (214). Both opened the tournament at -2 (69) in the first round.
Daniel Kim and Daniel Nunez placed 59th and 78th. Kim was three-over (216), while Nunez was nine-over (222).
Utah won the team title at 52-under (800), and Colorado was second with an 818 (-34) total. Utah's Sergio Jimenez took medalist honors. He finished 21-under (192), holding off teammate Gabriel Palacios (-15, 198).
Gonzaga heads to the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo., for its next event. The tournament is Sept. 21-23. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
