PULLMAN, Wash. – Gonzaga men's golf started their season at the Palouse Collegiate Tuesday and Wednesday. The Bulldogs finished in 13
th place on the Palouse Ridge Golf Course.
Ethan Flynn led GU with a 38
th place individual finish at one-under (212). The junior opened with back-to-back rounds of 72 (+1) in the first and second round Tuesday, before carding a 68 (-3) in the final round.
Charlie Olson and Bruce Chang both tied for 48
th place at one-over (214). Both opened the tournament at -2 (69) in the first round.
Daniel Kim and
Daniel Nunez placed 59
th and 78
th. Kim was three-over (216), while Nunez was nine-over (222).
Utah won the team title at 52-under (800), and Colorado was second with an 818 (-34) total. Utah's Sergio Jimenez took medalist honors. He finished 21-under (192), holding off teammate Gabriel Palacios (-15, 198).
Gonzaga heads to the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo., for its next event. The tournament is Sept. 21-23. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
