Men's Tennis Conclude the UC Davis Invite

DAVIS, Calif. – Gonzaga men's tennis wrapped up three days of competition Sunday at the UC Davis Aggie Invite, closing out a strong weekend of play that began Friday.

In doubles action, Jay Fairclough and Giovanni Branchetti paired up for an 8-2 victory over Gonzaga's Gus Krauel and Oscar Rashed.

Branchetti carried that momentum into singles, earning a convincing 6-3, 6-1 win. Fairclough dropped a tight match, 4-6, 5-7, while Diego Herrera fell 6-7(3), 0-6. Rashed capped the day with a hard-fought three-set win, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

The Bulldogs will return to action later this week at the ITA Regionals in Stockton, CA.
