SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's basketball eased to a 111-53 exhibition victory over Western Oregon in the final tune-up for the regular season Monday.
The Zags led 22-14 at the 12:30 mark, before going on a 28-0 run over the next eight minutes to pull away. GU led for over 38 minutes, and by as many as 63 points. The Bulldogs led 57-23 at halftime.
Braden Huff led five Zag double-digit scorers with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field.
Graham Ike made all seven of his shots from the field and finished with 18 points.
Ismaila Diagne had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Davis Fogle went 11-for-11 from the free-throw line and added 13 points.
Adam Miller contributed 10 points.
The Bulldogs made 64.1 percent from the field and 25-of-28 from the free-throw line. Gonzaga also outrebounded WOU, 41-21 and had a 74-10 advantage in points in the paint. The Zags turned 22 Western Oregon turnovers in to a 36-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
The Wolves, also playing in an exhibition, were led by Jadin Penigar's 13 points. Braydon Olson and Carson Frincke added 11 and 10 points.
