SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's tennis wrapped up play at the Gonzaga Invitational on a strong note Sunday, winning three of four singles matches and splitting in doubles competition to close the weekend.
In singles action, Gus Krauel, Diego Herrera, and Oscar Rashed each earned straight-set victories to cap impressive tournaments for the Zags. Krauel cruised to a 6-3, 6-1 win, while Herrera posted a 6-2, 6-4 result. Rashed matched that scoreline with a 6-2, 6-4 victory of his own. Tom Dunlop battled throughout but fell 6-2, 6-2.
In doubles play, Dunlop and Rashed teamed up for an 8-3 win, while Krauel and Herrera narrowly dropped an 8-7 (8) tiebreaker in a tight match.
The Gonzaga Invitational concludes the fall portion of competition for the Bulldogs, who will resume play in the spring season.
