SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's head basketball coach Lisa Fortier announced her team's non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
The non-conference slate includes eight teams that finished in the top 100 in the NET last year as four of the teams also made the NCAA Tournament.
The Zags open the season at home on Sunday, Nov. 2, with an exhibition against Carroll College before hitting the road for back-to-back contests at North Dakota State (Nov. 7) and Toledo (Nov. 9).
This will mark the first matchup between the NDSU and Gonzaga in program history. The Bison finished the season with 21 wins last year, including a berth to the WNIT where the team advanced to the Great 8. Gonzaga has only played Toledo one other time, when GU defeated Toledo in Spokane, 91-70, in 2023.
Gonzaga returns to Spokane for three marquee home games, hosting Colorado State (Nov. 13), perennial power Stanford (Nov. 16), and Eastern Washington (Nov. 23). The Bulldogs faced all three of these opponents last year, including a 79-50 win over the Eagles at home. CSU reached over 20 wins last season as Stanford was also selected to host the first round of the WBIT.
The Zags will then take on South Dakota State in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Nov. 20, at the Sanford Pentagon. The Bulldogs last faced SDSU in 2023 when GU won 83-58 in Spokane. GU is 1-1 all-time at the Sanford Pentagon. They defeated South Dakota 54-50 and fell to No. 1 South Carolina 79-72 during the 2-day 2020 Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, the Bulldogs head to Estero, Fla., for the Gulf Coast Showcase, opening against Indiana on Nov. 28 before facing either Iowa State or Marquette on Nov. 30. The Zags won the same tournament back in 2019 after defeating Dayton, Middle Tennessee and Purdue.
December features a strong slate of home matchups, with Grand Canyon (Dec. 4), UC Davis (Dec. 6), and Arizona State (Dec. 16) visiting the McCarthey Athletic Center. This will mark the first time the Zags have faced ASU since 2008. Gonzaga has only played Grand Canyon one other time back in 2016 with a 70-44 win in Spokane. GU also has a 4-1 record against UC Davis.
Gonzaga will then travel to Missouri State on Dec. 19 and UC Riverside on Dec. 21 to close out the non-conference campaign. GU played Missouri State last year at the Paradise Jam and holds a 3-2 record over the Bears. The Zags last played UC Riverside in 2016 and leads the series 8-1.
Game times and television information will be released in the near future. Season tickets are available now at GoZags.com/tickets. Single game tickets will go on sale at a later date.
