OUT OF THE GATES:
- Gonzaga has won 16 of its 33 all-time season-opening matches, including its last three of its last five.
- The Zags are unbeaten in seven of their last 10 season-openers, with losses at No. 19 Texas in 2019, 4-3, versus Pittsburgh in 2022 in Missoula, 1-0, and last year at Utah, 2-1.
- In last season's opener in Salt Lake City, after Katelyn Rigg scored an equalizing goal for the Zags in the 53rd minute, the Utes scored the game-winning goal in the final minute on a free kick just outside the box by Bella Woods.
