GU Running adds Zach Frazier

SPOKANE, Wash.- Gonzaga men's Cross Country and Track head coach Pat Tyson announced the signing of Zach Frazier on Friday, with Frazier staying in Spokane to join the Zags for the 2025-2026 season.

A Spokane local, Frazier is finishing up his high school running career at Gonzaga Prep this spring. He set the second fastest 5k mark in Gonzaga Prep Cross Country history, running a time of 14:32.2 in September to cap his senior season. He finished 33rd overall at the Brooks West Cross Country Championships to finish a successful high school cross country career.

Frazier brings an experience in variety of distances on the track, setting the Gonzaga Prep school records in the 600 meters (1:28.81) and the 2000 meters (5:53.49) in 2025. He also holds top 5 times in Prep history in the 1600 and 3200 meters.

Zach Frazier is excited to join the team soon, commenting that "one of the reasons I chose Gonzaga University is because of the team culture, which is unlike anything I've seen before. I am also enamored with the amazing quality education that is offered at GU and how it is balanced with exceptional opportunities with athletics and clubs." Frazier will join the Zags starting in the 2026-2027 season.
