10/8/2026 3:08:00 PM | Cross Country
MADISON, Wisconsin- Gonzaga Cross Country will take on the largest test of the regular season when they take on the Nuttycombe Invite on Friday, competing against the nation's best teams in one of the premier events on the cross country calendar.
Widely considered one of the premier meets in collegiate cross country, Nuttycombe typically draws most of the ranked cross country teams to put out their best lineup in a major first look at the national field. This year is no different, as the prestigious meet currently has a stacked field with 21 ranked men's teams and 18 ranked women's teams set to compete.
The Zags will look to use possible wins over ranked teams to solidify a resume for a at-large bid as a team to the NCAA National Championship in November. Gonzaga women's cross country is currently ranked by the USTFCCCA as the 6th overall team in the West, while the men's cross country team is currently 9th in the West.
The women's 6k championship will take place at 8:30 am Pacific Time, followed by the men's 6k championship at 9:15 Pacific Time. The full meet is available to be streamed on Runnerspace. Live Results can be found on GoZags and the meet webpage.
