SOMIS, Calif. – The Gonzaga men's golf team finished third at the Bill Cullum Invitational, hosted by CSUN at the Saticoy Club.
The Zags posted a three-round total of 32-over par, with rounds of 17-over in Round 1, four-over in Round 2, and 11-over in Tuesday's final round.
Charlie Olson led GU with a fourth-place finish at three-over par. Olson opened the tournament with a 76 (+4), surged up the leaderboard with a three-under 69 in Round 2, and closed with a 74 (+2) in the final round.
Michael Vienneau (75-76-74) and
Ethan Flynn (76-73-76) tied for 13th at nine-over par.
Jayden Lizama placed tied for 22nd at 11-over par and improved in each round with scores of 78, 74, and 75.
Guillermo Polo Bodart rounded out the Gonzaga lineup with a 54th-place finish at 21-over after rounds of 79, 79, and 79.
Daniel Kim competed as an individual and finished 77th in the field.
CSU Fullerton captured the team title, followed by Cal Poly in second.
