MARICOPA, Ariz. – Gonzaga women's golf finished tied for 12th at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. The Bulldogs were 24-over (888) in the 54-hole event at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Brenna Preap led GU finishing tied for 20th at two-over (218). She opened with an even-par 72, followed by a 73 (+1) in Round 2, and closed with another 73 (+1).
Grace Lee tied for 33rd at four-over (220). She improved on each round with scores of 76 (+4), 74 (+2), and 70 (-2).
Mariko Yonemura tied for 50th at seven-over (223), carding rounds of 77 (+5), 75 (+3), and 71 (-1).
Esther Yoo tied for 67th at 11-over (227), finishing with rounds of 77 (+5), 78 (+6), and an even-par 72.
Vanessa Zhang was 110th at 28-over (244).
Taylor Mularski competed as an individual and tied for 55th at nine-over (225). She recorded rounds of 79 (+7), 77 (+5), and 69 (-3).
As a team, Gonzaga totaled rounds of 302, 300, and 286, moving up the leaderboard in the final round.
Iowa won the team title at 26-under (838), led by medalist honors from Nichakorn Pinprayoon at 17-under (199).
The Bulldogs are at the West Coast Conference Championships at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif., April 25-27.
