Women’s Tennis Finishes First Day of the Cal Poly Hidden Dual

SAN LUIS OBISPO, California – The Gonzaga women's tennis team began their 2026-2027 campaign today at the Cal Poly Hidden Dual, earning a 2-1 record in doubles competition and a 5-0 record in singles matches.Â
Hosted by Cal Poly, the Hidden Dual - from September 25-27 - includes invited teams from Fresno State and Saint Mary's.
In singles matches, the women were able to secure wins in all five of their matches, with only one needing to go to a third set. Most notably, Emily Robertson won her match against Fresno State's Nina Weise 6-0, 6-0.Â
The Bulldogs were victorious in two of their three doubles matches with Nielsen/Robertson triumphing 7-6 (5) in a tiebreak set and MacNeille/Phillips dominating 6-3 in their match.
Gonzaga will continue play in the tournament tomorrow and Sunday.
