Women's Tennis Concludes Second Day at Cal Poly Hidden Dual

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team competed this afternoon in the second day of the Cal Poly Hidden Dual, producing a 2-3 record in singles competition and a 1-2 record in doubles matches.
In singles matches, Angelina Hug was able to lock down a three-set win against Cal Poly's Natalie Lynch, ending with a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(4) score. In a similar fashion, Sia Cariov also bested Aspen Chung (CP) in a third set, leading to a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 final score. Madeleine MacNeille had a hard-fought match against Kaia Jorgensen (CP), but ultimately fell short in their 7-6(5), 6-4 meeting.
With new doubles pairings from Friday's competition, the Zags were victorious in one of their three doubles matches with Sia Cariov and Emily Robertson triumphing 6-3 against Saint Mary's Sofia Daryaie and Mahi Khore.
Gonzaga will finish out play in the three-day Hidden Dual tomorrow.
