Spring 2021: WCC All-Academic First Team…saw action in all 18 matches on the season…led the team in digs, recording 277 on the year with a 3.79 digs per set…tallied a season-high 23 digs against Saint Mary’s on Feb. 15..added 58 assists on the year, ranking second on the squad with 0.79 assists per set…finished the season with 15 service aces.

2019: West Coast Conference All-Academic…ranked third on the team in digs with 236 on the season…averaged 3.28 digs per set…finished with at least 20 digs on four different occasions including a career-high 27 at San Francisco on Oct. 19…strung together 10-straight matches of double-figure kills from Oct. 12-Nov. 16…ranked fourth on the squad in service aces with 23…added 55 assists on the season with two kills.

2018: Saw action in 15 matches for the Zags, appearing in 48 sets…finished with 65 digs on the year…averaged 1.35 digs per set…at Pacific on Oct. 13, recorded a season-high 11 digs…also added 7 services aces for the year.

2017: Played in nine matches as a freshman, starting one...tallied 20 digs, two kills, and a service ace...made collegiate debut Oct. 5 versus Pepperdine, posting three digs...four digs two days later versus Loyola Marymount...season high of six digs came Oct. 14 at BYU...earned start Nov. 11 versus San Diego...three more digs Nov. 18 at Saint Mary's.

Hamilton High School: Played three years of volleyball at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Ariz...led the Huskie to a 35-8 record and spot in the state semifinals as a senior...member of National Honors Society and Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica...school's English Student of the Year in 2015-16...graduated as a four-time 4.0 GPA scholar and a distinguished scholar.

Club Experience: Played club ball with Club One's 18 Platinum team in Tempe, Ariz...led squad to Nationals in April 2017.

Personal: Full name Julia Marlene Talarico...parents are Tess and Ken...has a sister named Olivia...majoring in biochemistry...chose Gonzaga because "it has a great volleyball and academic program. The whole community of Spokane supports the Zags, which I find very comforting."
