Biography
2019-20: Rowed with the 3V8s in his first season as a Zag…helped the Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish at the Head of the Lake, finishing the three-mile course in 17:31.147…also rowed with the Novice 8 at the time trials at the Head of the Snake…helped the Bulldogs to a 19:16 5,000-meter finish time with the first flight followed by a 19:08 finishing in the second flight…spring season shortened due to COVID-19.
High School: Graduated from Juanita High School in Kirkland, Wash…was a swimmer in high school…posted a career-best 26 second 50-meter freestyle time…lettered his senior season…was also in the Cambridge program.
Personal: Son of Eileen and Charles Olson…has one sister, Lauren…is majoring in biology with a minor in Spanish and journalism…aspires to be a doctor/reporter in the Doctors Without Borders program…chose Gonzaga because “when my sister was here, I heard only about the endless resources that the school had for its students and how the staff worked incredibly hard to make sure their students succeeded…The familiarity paired with the dedication the entire faculty and staff have for their students made my decision easy.”
