Each semester, Gonzaga University recognizes those students who achieve a 3.50-3.84 semester GPA (Dean’s List Honoree) or a 3.85+ semester GPA (President’s List Honoree). For the 2023-2024 academic year, Gonzaga student-athletes were awarded 222 placements on the Dean’s list and 215 placements on the President’s list, including 110 student-athletes who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in either the Fall and/or Spring Semesters.
Following a successful 2022-2023 campaign, Gonzaga Athletics posted an equally impressive 3.52 departmental GPA in Fall 2023. The Zags were led by Men's Tennis with a team GPA of 3.78, followed by Men's Golf and Women's Golf both posting a team GPA of 3.70. Our student-athletes set the bar high this semester with 55 student-athletes earning a 4.0 GPA, setting a new departmental record. Our 229 total honorees between Dean’s List and President’s List makes up 65 percent of our student-athlete population, a noteworthy accomplishment for our department.
During the Spring 2024 semester, 100 student-athletes earned Dean’s List honors and an additional 108 student-athletes earned President’s List recognition, with a total of 208 honorees for the semester. Our student-athletes continued to excel this semester with 55 student-athletes earning a 4.0 GPA, matching the Fall semester departmental record. Other highlights for the semester included a departmental GPA of 3.51, marking the 17th consecutive semester with a departmental GPA above a 3.30 and ninth above a 3.45.

| Chi Alpha Sigma |

Chi Alpha Sigma exists to encourage and reward high academic scholarship of college athletes at four-year accredited colleges and universities, to recognize outstanding academic achievement by intercollegiate varsity letter winners and to encourage good citizenship, moral character, and friendship among the high academic achievers in college athletics. Founded in 1996, and comprised of members from all levels within the NCAA and the NAIA, Chi Alpha Sigma has grown to over 285 University chapters nationwide. Gonzaga University inducted 48 senior student-athletes into its respective chapter for the 2023-2024 academic year. These seniors all maintained a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA while also earning varsity letters in their respective sports.
