2020-21(Sophomore): All-WCC Singles Honorable Mention…WCC All-Academic First Team…Singles: Played at the No. 1 position all season, posting an overall record of 9-8, with one match going unfinished…all nine of his single victories came in straight sets with two tiebreakers…Doubles: Appeared primarily at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions, earning a record of 10-7 with one match unfinished…went on a four-match win streak with partner Matthew Perkins from Feb. 21 through March 7.
2019-20 (Freshman): ITA Scholar Athlete Singles: Led the Zags in individual wins with 20, posting a 20-6 overall record before the season was shortened due to COVID-19…won 11 of his first 14 matches…advanced to the Round of 32 at the ITA Northwest Regional with a win over Washington’s Stevie Gould (6-3, 3-6, 6-3)…collected three singles wins at the Larry Easley Memorial Classic with two coming in straight sets…advanced to the finals of the Blue Draw of the GU Invite with wins over Joaquin Espinooza of Montana State (7-6(0-5), 6-3), Idaho’s Brandon Hodge (6-0, 6-1) and Portland’s Sema Pankin (7-5, 7-5)…finished 9-3 in the spring, competing the entire season at the No. 2 position…following a loss to #5 Baylor, strung together six-straight victories, coming from behind in two matches for the three-set victory…ended the shortened season with a three-set victory over Fresno State’s Johannes Seeman, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. Doubles: Named the WCC Doubles Team of the Week on March 17…paired most often with Sam Feit…finished the season 14-10 overall with a 5-7 mark in duals…won his first six doubles matches…completed the program’s deepest-ever run at the ITA Northwest Regionals, advancing to the semifinals…defeated Portland (8-5), third-seeded Stanford 8-7(4-0) and ninth-seeded Santa Clara, 8-6…paired with Vincent Rettke at the Gonzaga Invitational to defeat San Diego State (8-6) and Cal Poly (8-7(8-6))…opened the spring season with three-straight victories, pairing with Feit to defeat Drake (6-4), Western Michigan (6-3) and Northern Illinois (6-4)…closed the spring season with a 6-4 win over Johannes Seeman and Cagatay Soke of Fresno State.
High School: Ranked No. 1 in his county in both the 18 and under and men's categories, and in the last year he has been ranked as high as 23rd overall in Britain...In 2018, won the Scottish Open British National Tour event in singles while advancing to the finals in doubles play...Claimed the title at the Gosling British National Tour event in doubles play while advancing to the semifinals in singles play...Also led the Merchiston Castle School to a title at the British National School event, marking the first time ever that a Scottish school had claimed the title.
Personal: Son of Craig and Jane Hollingworth...Has two brothers, Thomas and Jacob...plans to major in biochemistry.
