Prior to Gonzaga
- Murphy is an in-state signee out of Ellensburg and four-year letterwinner for the Bulldogs, earning First Team All-CWAC in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024. This year, Ellensburg is coming off a District 5 Championship and will look towards the WIAA 2A State Tournament as the top-ranked squad in the RPI with a 16-2 record. The senior outside hitter holds a 4.0 GPA and was a member of the Ellensburg Honor Roll all four years while participating in the National Honor Society for two years.

Personal
- Murphy's parents are Central Washington University multi-sport alumni and she is the oldest of four.
- "I chose Gonzaga because it felt like the right fit," Murphy said. "When we walked around campus, it felt like somewhere I could see myself, like this was where I belonged. I really like the coaching staff and the program is doing big things that I want to be a part of. It is somewhere that I will get to compete and grow, which were two major requirements I was looking for in a college program."
