SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Gonzaga University's men's tennis squad had its hopes dashed for the consolation title Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Saint Mary's College in the second round of the West Coast Conference Championships.

Joel Wilkie and Brian McConnell recorded the Zags lone victory on the day with an 8-1 win against Marc Mowrer and Dominic Massi in the No. 3 doubles match.

The No. 7 seeded Bulldogs will face the No. 8 seed University of San Francisco in Sunday's third round action.
