WSU Rolls Over Gonzaga Volleyball

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State (2-0) opened with a 10-1 run and never looked back as the Cougars rolled over Gonzaga (0-2) during the second day of the Cougar Volleyball Challenge. WSU won the contest 30-17, 30-24, 30-24.
Brenn Larson served the Cougars to the quick 10-1 start with Abby Cullen breaking up the run with a kill for the Bulldogs. WSU continued to pour it on increasing their lead to 20-5, hitting .214 for the contest while Gonzaga was limited to a negative .079 attack percentage.

The Bulldogs appeared to have things figured out in the final game as they took two leads and where within 18-17 after two good Christina Davis kills. WSU used a 7-1 run to close out any Gonzaga hopes of pushing the contest to four games.
Davis led the Zags with nine kills while Vagstad had six blocks. Hankoff led all players with 13 kills to go with her five aces. Chelsie Schafer added 10 kills for WSU.
Gonzaga plays Nevada in their final match of the afternoon before WSU hosts No. 23 BYU.
