APU Downs GU, 9-0

AZUSA, Calif. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team lost 9-0 to the Azusa Pacific University Cougars Tuesday afternoon.

The Cougars took all of the doubles matches, with Gonzaga's Marco Pineda and Brett Womack coming closest to a win in the No. 3 spot, falling 9-8.

In singles play Reid Arthur jumped out to an early lead in the No. 3 spot winning the first set 7-5, but dropped the final two sets 6-4, 10-8 to lose the match.

The Bulldog men will continue their Southern Calif. road trip on Wednesday as they travel to Irvine, Calif. for a match with the University of California, Irvine in a 1:30 p.m. match.
