SCHEDULE PROVIDING TOUGH TESTS: Gonzaga University is slated to match up with six teams that made appearances in the NCAA Tournament last season and will also play four of its seven West Coast Conference matches on the road this season. MAKING THEM COUNT: Sarah Rhodes is once again tied for the team-lead in goals (3) after posting two match-winners last week. With the scored tied at 1-1 in the Sept. 17 match against Seattle University, Rhodes found the back of the net with less than five minutes remaining to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead they would not surrender. On Sept. 20 Rhodes again took a pass into the left side of the box and beat the keeper to the far side in the Zags 1-0 win over Idaho. The Victoria, B.C. native finished last season with a team-high three goals and is just three goals away from breaking into the school's top-10 list for career goals.

NOW ENTERING THE MATCH: Gonzaga University head coach Amy Edwards has implemented a new style of play in her first season at GU, this new aggressive style of play will see the Zags apply offensive pressure throughout the match. The new style of play requires the Zags to rely on the good amount of depth at each position in order to keep fresh legs on the field. The large amount of depth as seen the Bulldogs use at least 20 of its 26 active players in five of its ten matches this season led by the 22 players appeared in its season-opening victory over the University of Montana as well as in the 2-1 victory over Seattle University.
