THE CHALLENGES KEEP COMING:
- With Hartwick, the Zags will face the third of seven teams in 2015 that are coming off NCAA appearance.
- A win against Hartwick would give GU its best start through five games since going 4-1 in 1997.
- Gonzaga was picked to finish sixth in the WCC by the league's coaches in the preseason poll.
ON THE DEFENSE:
- Gonzaga has allowed just two goals in four games thanks to its back line and goalkeeper Chris Lowrimore.
- Lowrimore ranks 28th in the nation in goals against average (.474) and 38th in save percentage (.833).
- Against Northwestern, Lowrimore notched four saves and recorded his second shutout of the seasn and fourth career (one combined). That ranks him fifth all-time at GU in career shutouts.
- As a team, Gonzaga is 30th in shutout percentage (0.50) and 22nd in team goals-against avg. (.474).
ON THE OFFENSE:
- Gonzaga has spread the scoring this season with 3 goals by 3 different players (Bevans, Granlund, White).
- Junior Jakob Granlund leads the team in scoring with 3 points (1g, 1a) and shots on goal (6). He ranks tied for first in the WCC in shots on goal per game (1.50).
- As a team GU is ranked third in the WCC in shots per game (12.75) and fourth in SOG per game (5.25).
TAKING A LOOK AT THE ROSTER:
- Gonzaga welcomes back eight starters from last season's roster. Overall, 16 letterwinners return in 2015.
- The Zags return three of their top five scorers from 2014 (Le, Bevans, Granlund).
- GU returns four All-WCC honorable mention players in Graison Le, Connor Bevans, Ben White and David Sigurdsson.
