Freshman Quynn Duong posted her third top-three finish in four tournaments

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — Gonzaga's Quynn Duong wrapped up the 41st Pat Bradley Invitational with a final-round 70 (-2) to place second overall and help GU to a sixth-place team finish on Tuesday at Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
Duong's final round featured four more birdies, including two in the final seven holes without a bogey. Her second-place finish is the third top-three finish in the first four tournaments of her collegiate career.
"Quynn continues to impress with her ball striking and her competitive spirit," head coach Brad Rickel said. "She played great again today and had another great finish. I'm really proud of our team shooting 289 today on the final round with four great scores. Everyone competed to their fullest, and it was fun to be a part of such a great way to end the fall season."
Along with Duong's two-under round, Francesca Santoni posted an even-par 72, Nina Novilla was just one-over and Jessica Mangrobang was just two-over. As a team, GU's top four posted a score of 289, four strokes better than the Round 2 score of 293.
Santoni's front-nine scorecard featured eight pars and one birdie, while the back nine had just two bogeys and a birdie to keep her at even par. Novilla's round was highlighted by four birdies in a span of eight holes on Nos. 1-8 as she shot a 73. Mangrobang had three birdies of her own on the way to a 74.
The tournament wraps up Gonzaga's fall slate, with the next tournament on the books for Feb. 11-12 at the Battle of the Rock, hosted by UC Riverside.
