
Women’s Tennis to Host Final Home Tournament This Weekend

Zags welcome Idaho, New Mexico State and Portland for Gonzaga Invitational
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team wraps up the fall team tournament season at home this weekend as it hosts the Gonzaga Invite Nov. 2-4 inside The Stevens Center.
The Bulldogs will play host to Idaho, New Mexico State and Portland for the Gonzaga Invite, their second home tournament of the fall season. The tournament will be a multi-flight round-robin format, and the singles player and doubles team with the top winning percentage will take home the tournament titles.
In last season's Gonzaga Invite, Graciela Rosas shined for the Zags as she took home both the singles and doubles titles. Rosas clinched the individual crown with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Montana State's Angelina Philippova to finish with a tournament-best 78.3 win percentage in singles games. Rosas earned a 6-1, 6-0 win on the first day of the tournament followed by a 6-4, 6-1 win on day two.
Rosas paired with Sophie Whittle in doubles play, also finishing with an undefeated weekend. The duo claimed the crown with a tournament-best 78.3 win percentage in doubles.
The tournament is set to begin at 11 a.m. Friday with the last singles matches of the day scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Live video will be available each day of the tournament; click here to access.
