THE TIP-OFF:
- Gonzaga opens regular season play for the 2018-19 season when it hosts Idaho State on Tuesday, at 6 p.m., in Spokane.
- Gonzaga is No. 3 in the Associated Press preseason poll entering 2018-19. It is the Zags' highest preseason ranking in program history.
- The Zags have won 14 straight regular season-openers dating back to a 73-66 loss to Saint Joseph's in the 2003 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
- Gonzaga has won 29 consecutive regular season home-openers since a 73-65 loss to Boise State on Dec. 7, 1988.
- GU has won all 14 regular season home-openers in the McCarthey Athletic Center and all 19 regular season home-openers under Mark Few.
- In last season's regular season-opener, Gonzaga cruised to a 97-69 win over Texas Southern in Spokane on Nov. 10.

SCOUTING THE BENGALS:
- Idaho State went 14-16 overall last season, and 9-9 in Big Sky Conference play.
- The Bengals were picked eighth in both the coaches' and media Big Sky Conference preseason polls.
- Idaho State returns 61.2 percent of its scoring from last year. The returning Bengals combined to score 1,354 of the 2,211 points scored in 2017-18.
- The leading returning scorer is Brandon Boyd with 433 points and Jared Stutzman with 403 points.
- Last year, ISU made a school record 252 3-pointers, and shot a school record percentage of .396.
- Boyd is the teams returning leading rebounder, after averaging 4.2 boards per game last season.

- For the third time in the last four seasons, Gonzaga and Nike N7 are partnering in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
- During the men's basketball game on Nov. 6 against Idaho State, the Zags will wear customized turquoise uniforms created by Nike.
- The turquoise color is symbolic of friendship and fellowship in Native American cultures.
- With four Native American tribes in the Spokane area, and 29 in the state of Washington, GU and Nike N7 are teaming up to leverage basketball as a way of showing Native American youth that physical activity can have a profound effect on future generations.
- The N7 philosophy is inspired by Native American wisdom of the Seven Generations: In every deliberation we must consider the impact of our decisions on the seventh generation.
ZAGS CRUISE IN EXHIBITION WIN:
- Gonzaga opened the 2018-19 season with a 108-69 exhibition win over Central Washington.
- Six Zags finished in double-digit scoring led by Rui Hachimura's game-high 23 points.
- Brandon Clarke added 18 points and 11 rebounds in his GU career. Zach Norvell Jr. made three three-pointers and finished with 14 points.
- The Bulldogs shot 54.7 percent from the field, including 59 percent in the second half. Gonzaga was 9-of-20 from behind-the-perimeter.
