EUGENE, Ore. – Gonzaga women's soccer suffered their first loss of the season at Oregon Sunday, 2-0. The Ducks' Emma Eddy scored both goals in the match at Pape Field.
The Ducks (4-1-1) continued the hot start to their season, after being selected 10
th in the Pac-12 Preseason Poll. Oregon and GU both took eight shots in the game, but the Ducks placed four shots on goal, while the Bulldogs had two.
Eddy opened the scoring just under six minutes into the match. She recorded her fourth goal of the season by poking in a loose ball in front of the net. Zoe Hasenauer was credited with the assist.
Less than a minute into the second half, Eddy brought in a cross from Jessica Yu and struck the ball into the net from five yards out. All three of Eddy's shots in the game were on frame.
Jodi Ulkekul took two shots in the game for Gonzaga, placing one on goal.
Taylor Kernion also had a shot on goal.
Madeline Gotta had a shot hit the post as well. GU outshot Oregon in the second half, 5-1. The Bulldogs also had a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Isabel Jones made a couple impressive saves, while Oregon's Halla Hinriksdottir made one save.
Gonzaga returns home after three games on the road, and hosts Cal Poly (0-2-2) Friday at 7 p.m.
