Women’s Golf Hosts CDA Collegiate Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga women's golf team will host and play in the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
THE TOURNAMENT:
- The CDA Resort Invite will be three rounds played over two days, with two rounds taking place on Monday and one round on Tuesday. Play will begin at 8 a.m. each day.
- The field features 18 teams and a total of 90 players on the par-71, 6,099-yard course. The full list of teams can be found at Golfstat.com.
- Last season, Jessica Mangrobang finished tied for 54th at +11 for the tournament with final round 77. Francesca Santoni finished tied in 68th and was +14 overall after firing a final round 79.
LAST TIME OUT:
- Gonzaga freshman Quynn Duong finished second at +7 in her first career collegiate tournament last week at the Battle at Old Works at Old Works Golf Club. She also fired GU's first under-par round of the year, with a one-under 71.
- Francesca Santoni shot a final-round 76 to finish in ninth place, her second career top-10 finish with a final score of +14. Jessica Mangrobang finished tied for 29th with a final round 77 to finish +25.
- The Zags finished in sixth place as a team at +76, just five strokes out of fourth place.
SCHEDULE:
- GU is hosting the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational for the second straight year.
- The Zags are playing in three tournaments they entered last season, the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, and The Gold Rush.
- New tournaments for the Bulldogs this year include, the Battle at Old Works (played last week), 41st Pat Bradley Invitational, Battle at the Rock, Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, and the Red Rocks Invitational.
- Gonzaga has previously played in every event except the Pat Bradley Invitational and Battle at the Rock.
