THE TIP OFF:
- Gonzaga will open exhibition play for the 2019-20 season when it hosts Lewis-Clark State on Friday, at 6 p.m., in the McCarthey Athletic Center.
- Gonzaga is No. 8 in the Associated Press preseason poll entering 2019-20. The ranking matches the second-highest preseason AP rating in program history.
- The Zags have a history of cruising in their season-opening exhibitions. Gonzaga has an average margin of victory of 37 points in exhibition wins over the past 12 seasons.
- In last season's opening exhibition, the Bulldogs eased to a 108-69 win over Central Washington.

Filip Petrusev grabbed seven boards.
- In 2016-17, GU opened its season with a 122-76 victory over West Georgia. The Zags' 122 points were the most points scored by Gonzaga in any game since a 123-72 exhibition victory over Northwest Sports in 2003.
- Gonzaga returns one starter and five letterwinners from last season's squad that claimed the Zags' seventh consecutive West Coast Conference regular season title.
- In 2018-19, the Bulldogs advanced to their 21st straight NCAA Tournament, and fifth consecutive Sweet 16.
- This season, GU welcomes eight new student-athletes, including six freshmen. The Zags' roster features eight underclassmen and three seniors.
- Gonzaga won 33 games last season, including 16-0 in West Coast Conference play. It was the third straight 30-win season, fourth in the last five seasons and fifth in the last seven seasons.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Gonzaga and Lewis-Clark State have met 10 times during regular season action.
- GU has won all 10 of the previous meetings, with the last nine coming in Spokane.
- The Zags won the last meeting between the programs in 2013, 104-57, in Spokane.
- Kyle Dranginis led all scorers with 30 points for the Bulldogs. He added seven assists and six rebounds off of the bench. GU made 64.2 percent from the field.
- The only meeting in Lewiston, was the first matchup, an 87-65 Gonzaga win on Dec.17, 1973.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS:
- Lewis-Clark State opens the year ranked No. 23 in NAIA Div. 1, coming off of last season's 30-7 finish.
- Under the guidance of first-year head coach Austin Johnson, the Warriors captured the program's eighth Frontier Conference Title and fought their way to the first NAIA National Semifinal in school history.
- LCSC has already played four games and won them all. The Warriors are coming off of an 88-73 exhibition win at Idaho Tuesday. LC State only trailed for 28 seconds early in the game, and led by as many as 19 points.
- Trystan Bradley led the Warriors with 28 points and 13 rebounds. He made 4-of-7 from behind-the-arc. Damek Mitchell scored 17 points and dished out 11 assists.
- Hodges Bailey is averaging a team-high 15.3 points per game through the three regular season games. Mitchell is adding 13 points and 6.5 boards per outing.
- The Warriors were picked to finish third in the Frontier Conference behind Providence and Montana State-Northern.
- LCSC's returning All-American Honorable Mention Damek Mitchell was voted Preseason All-Frontier Conference.
- The Warriors return four student-athletes from last season's roster, including Mitchell, who led the Warriors in 3-point field goals (52), free-throw percentage (.798) and assists (193). He set the LC State's single-season assists record.
- Trystan Bradley, Josiah Westbrook and Conner Moffatt also all return for the Warriors. Bradley led the Warriors in field goal percentage (.653) and blocks (35).
- LCSC also returns five student-athletes that redshirted last season. Seven Warriors graduated from last season's roster.
