Women’s Rowing Finishes Fall Slate in Spokane

Zags welcome Washington State and Oregon State Saturday

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women's rowing team wraps up its fall schedule against Oregon State and Washington State in a regatta on Silver Lake Saturday.
 
The Zags are hosting the regatta at their new boathouse on Silver Lake. Saturday's regatta will feature two 4-kilometer races with Varsity eight, JV eight, fours and novice boats.
 
This will be the second regatta for the Zags in Spokane, but the first official regatta at the Johnson Family Boathouse on Silver Lake. The boathouse was officially opened and dedicated on Saturday, Nov. 12.
 
The first flight will begin at 9 a.m. and will feature Gonzaga's varsity eight, second varsity eight, novice eight and second novice eight. This will be the first time this season GU's true novices have the opportunity to compete. The second flight, which will feature GU's second varsity eight, varsity four A boat and novice eight, will begin at approximately 10:15.
