THE TIP-OFF
- Gonzaga will look to improve to 6-1 Friday against Purdue in the championship of the Gulf Coast Showcase inside Hertz Arena in Estero, Fla. This will be Gonzaga's first trip to the tournament since its inception in 2013.
- Gonzaga broke into the Associated Press Top 25 poll at No. 23 following a 76-70 overtime loss at Stanford on Nov. 17. This week, GU moved up to No. 22 in the AP Poll, and the Bulldogs held steady at 21st in the Coaches Poll.
- Gonzaga is 7-11 all-time against current Big Ten opponents. Under Head Coach Lisa Fortier, GU carries a 1-3 overall record. The last time the Bulldogs faced a team out of the BigTen was in the second round of the Vancouver Showcase during the 2018-19 season. The Zags defeated Rutgers 57-40 on Nov. 23, 2018.
- Sunday's game will be the third time in program history GU has faced the Boilermakers, and the first time since the 2007-08 season. In the first meeting, Gonzaga fell to Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind., 69-44. The very next season, GU battled the Boilermakers, falling 64-41 on Dec. 19, 2007.
- This will mark the 8th time in program history the Bulldogs have played on Dec. 1. Gonzaga carries a 6-1 record on the date; this will be the first time during Lisa Fortier's tenure that the Zags have played on Dec. 1. This is the first time the Zags have played on this date since the 2009-10 season. That year, Gonzaga defeated Eastern Washington 87-61 at home.
- Gonzaga currently ranks first in the nation in percent attendance capacity. The Zags average 92.24 percent capacity; that's an average of 5,535 fans that fill McCarthey Athletic Center every game.
- Gonzaga returns two starters and seven letter-winners from last season's squad that claimed the Zags' third consecutive and 15th overall West Coast Conference regular season title.
- In 2018-19, the Bulldogs advanced to their third-straight NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Second Round.

SCOUTING THE BOILERMAKERS
- Purdue was selected to finish fifth in the Big Ten conference this season after finishing 19-15 overall in 2018-19 with an 8-10 mark in conference play, good for a tie for 10th. The Boilermakers advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
- The Boilermakers return all five starters and 11 letter winners from the 2018-19 squad.
- Purdue also returns two-time reigning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Naismith Defensive Player of the Year finalist in All-America forward Ae'Rianna Harris, as well as first-team all-conference guard Karissa McLaughlin.
- Purdue returns 100 percent of its scoring offense, rebounding, assists, blocks and steals from the 2018-19 season.
- Through six games this season, Purdue is a perfect 6-0 averaging 65.7 points per contest shooting 43.9 percent from the floor and 36.3 percent from long range.
- Dominique Oden leads the squad in scoring with 14.2 points per game shooting 42.4 percent from the floor and 52.9 percent from beyond-the-arc to go along with 5.2 rebounds per game and 3.2 assists per game. Harris adds 11.8 points per game shooting 47.4 percent from the floor.
- As a team, the Boilermakers average 39.5 rebounds per game. Harris leads the rebounding effort with 9.3 rebounds per game. Tamara Farquhar adds 8.7 rebounds per game.
- Purdue has won two games by at least 20 points and average a scoring margin of +14.0.
- During the Gulf Coast Showcase, Purdue defeated Drake 67-47 in the quarterfinals followed by a 59-52 victory over Arizona State in the semifinals.
