- Gonzaga has the nation's No. 1-ranked women's player in singles in Sophie Whittle, according to the latest rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Whittle is 7-1 against ranked players this season, including an ITA National Championship with a tournament win at the ITA All-American in the fall.
- Domonique Garley is ranked No. 111 in the ITA Singles Rankings as well.
- Gonzaga is returning to the courts for the first time since beating Nebraska 4-0 at the ITA Kickoff in Durham, N.C. Three scheduled matches in Santa Barbara - against Alabama, UCSB and Cal Poly - were canceled due to heavy rain in the Santa Barbara area.
- Whittle, Vlada Medvedcova and Sara Komer all have two wins each in dual match singles play.
- Whittle and partner Graciela Rosas, along with the duo of Garley and Komer, have notched two doubles wins in the dual match season.
- Gonzaga also faces in-state foes Washington and Washington State in the coming week.
- Head coach D.J. Gurule is in his 15th season at the helm of the Gonzaga women's tennis program.
