Zags Unable To Break Through in 1-0 Loss at Tulsa

GU led Tulsa in shots 12-10 and shots on goal 6-4
TULSA, Okla. – Gonzaga men's soccer started off its 2019 regular season with a strong effort on the road at Tulsa, but fell to the Golden Hurricane, 1-0, on Friday evening.
Tulsa (1-0) got on the board early in the game and then played well on the defensive end to keep the Zags (0-1) off the board the rest of the way. GU managed six shots on goal in the game and led Tulsa in shots overall 12-10.
Gonzaga goalkeeper Johan Garibay made three saves in the match, while Bryson Reed saved all six shots he faced for Tulsa.
Joe Corner had two shots on goal for Gonzaga, while four others each had one apiece.
Gonzaga returns home for its first regular season game at Luger Field on Sunday evening, hosting Sacramento State at 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on the WCC Network with live scoring available on GoZags.com.
