GU defeated Nevada 4-0, fell to Fresno State 4-2
FRESNO, Calif. – Gonzaga men's tennis took down Nevada in the opening round 4-0, but fell to host Fresno State in the second round 4-2 at the Pacific Central Valley Championship on Saturday in Fresno Calif.
"We learned a lot about ourselves today," head coach Jonas Piibor said. "We have to give credit to Fresno State for being better in the closing moments. Our guys battled hard, but we need to be able to control the things we can control better. We are looking forward to another battle tomorrow."
To open the day, GU dominated singles, taking the first four matches to finish over the Wolfpack for the sweep. GU's freshman trio of Matthew Hollingworth, Oliver Andersson and Eric Hadigian accounted for three of the victories, while Theo McDonald added the fourth point.

In the second match of the day, Fresno State took the doubles point to open the match and it was an uphill battle after that.
