MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine continued its best start to a season in program history with a 3-0 victory over Gonzaga women's soccer Saturday.
The Waves (13-1-0, 4-0-0 West Coast Conference) extended their program-record win streak to 11 games. Pepperdine has shut out its last six opponents, not allowing a goal in the last 694 minutes.
Pepperdine controlled 58 percent of the possession in the match, while outshooting GU, 20-6. The Waves had a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Tabitha LaParl opened the scoring for Pepperdine in the 13th minute with her second goal of the season. Joelle Anderson was credited with her fifth assist of the season. In the 15th minute, Kelsey Hill found the back of the net for her second goal of the season, with assists to Carlee Giammona and Shelby Little. Tori Waldeck scored her team-best seventh goal of the season in the 62nd minute.
Lyza Bosselmann made six saves in the Gonzaga (11-4-0, 1-3-0 WCC) net.
Lauren Towne added three in 25 minutes. Zoe Clevely had three saves for the Waves.
