SPOKANE, Wash. – In the first home event of the season, the Gonzaga men's rowing team took first in both flights at the Head of the Spokane on Saturday morning.
"The Varsity 8 and the JV 8 had a good race today and both really went after it," head coach
Dan Gehn said. "The novice boats continue to get better, and we look forward to having two weeks to work on some things in all the boats."
In the first flight, the 1V8 boat took first with a time of 15:39. The novice boat took fourth with a time of 18:25. The Zags went up against Washington State University in the race.
During the second flight, the 2V8 boat placed first and finished in 16:18. The novice boat also took fourth with a time of 18:45. Washington State also competed against Gonzaga in the second flight.
