
MTEN: Zags Host the Gonzaga Invitational This Weekend

SPOKANE, Wash. – The men's tennis team opens their doors for the Gonzaga Invitational, taking place this weekend in the Stevens Center. Boise State, Montana State, Portland, Portland State, Idaho, Eastern Washington, and Montana will travel to Spokane to compete this Halloween weekend.
"We are looking forward to competing again on our home courts," said coach D.J. Gurule. "We have had a really productive fall up to this date, so this is another opportunity for us work through one of the things we have been working on."
In round one of the singles blue bracket, the No. 2 seed, Matthew Hollingworth will go against Sam De Vries of Portland State, starting at 12:30 p.m. The No. 3 seed freshman Arthus De La Bassetiere takes on Bruno Casino of Idaho, starting at 1:00 p.m. Junior Oliver Andersson will take on Lawrence Sciglitano of Montana, starting at 12:30 p.m. Graduate Tom Hann will go against Nejc Sitar of Montana State, starting at 11 a.m.
In the white bracket, No. 1 seed junior Leon Roider will go against Guillermo Martín of Montana, starting at 12:30 p.m. No. 2 seed sophomore Pablo Gómez Galván will take on Nils Plutat of Portland State, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
In the blue doubles bracket, Hann and Gómez Galván will team up to take on the four seed Moritz Stoeger and Guillermo Martín of Montana, starting at 3 p.m.
In the white doubles bracket, the No. 3 seed Andersson and Roider will take on Marcos Zelver and Jacob Huppin of Montana State, starting at 4 p.m. The No. 1 seed De La Bassetiere will team up with Oscar Brown of Portland, and will have a first round bye.

LAST TIME OUT
The Zags competed in the ITA Northwest Super Regionals where Arthus De La Bassetiere reached the quarter finals in the singles tournament and Matthew Hollingworth and Sasha Trkulja teamed up and made it all the way to the finals in the doubles bracket, but fell in straight sets.
