
MTEN: Three Zags Roll to the Finals in the Gonzaga Invitational

The three-day tournament concludes tomorrow in Stevens Center
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Bulldogs continued to dominate on day two of the Gonzaga Invitational. The Zags finished the day 8-2 on the day with three moving to the bracket finals.
To start the day, junior Oliver Andersson, graduate Tom Hann, sophomore Pablo Gomez Galvan and frehman Arthus de la Bassetiere all played in the first matches of the day.
Andersson cruised to the semifinals, defeating Julien Penzlin of Portland, 6-3, 6-1. Hann took down Kyryll Kryvchun of Boise State, 6-4, 6-4. Gomez Galvan was dominating before his opponent, Moritz Stoeger of Montana, retired with an injury, 6-1, 3-0. de la Bassetiere battled against Gustav Thielgaard of Montana, but fell in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3.
Junior Matthew Hollingworth and junior Leon Roider wrapped up the quarterfinals with wins. Hollingworth battled Francisco Bascon of Idaho to win 6-2, 3-6, 6-0. Roider took down Idaho's Mario Duron in straight sets, winning 6-3, 6-2.
In the semifinals, all but Hollingworth moved onto the finals, with Hollingworth retiring from his match. His opponent, Zag teammate Tom Hann, will move onto the finals in the blue bracket. He will take on his teammate, Oliver Andersson, who defeated Gustav Thielgaard of Montana, 6-1, 6-1. In the white bracket, Roider took down Matteo Masala of Idaho, 6-0, 7-6(4). He will take on teammate Pablo Gomez Galvan, who defeated Ryo Minakata of Boise State, 6-3, 7-5. Both finals matches will take place at 11 a.m.
TOMORROW:
In the singles finals, Roider will take on Gomez Galvan and Hann will go against Andersson, both matches start at 11 a.m. de la Bassetiere will play Julien Penzlin of Portland in the winner's consolation bracket.
In the doubles bracket, Andersson and Roider will team up against de la Bassetiere and his partner Oscar Brown of Portland in the white bracket final, starting at 9 a.m. Gomez Galvan and Hann will play in the winner's consolation against Bruno Casino and Francisco Bascon of Idaho, starting at 10 am.
