SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Gonzaga men's rowing team wrapped up the fall season at the San Diego Fall Classic with a second-place finish.
"It was a great way to conclude fall racing," head coach
Dan Gehn said. "We had good racing and it was a challenging course. I think this sets the stage for this spring's racing!"
In the Men's Open 8+, GU's 'A' boat finished second with a time of 14:55.475 out of 16 competitors. UC San Diego was the lone boat ahead of the Zags, finishing in 14:45.733.
Gonzaga's 'B' boat also competed in the same race and finished 12th. The crew finished the course in 16:15.278.
With this being the last regatta of the fall season, the Zags will return to competition in spring 2022. The full schedule will be released at a later date on GoZags.com.
