SPOKANE, Wash.- The Gonzaga men's tennis team fell 4-3 to visiting San Diego Friday afternoon inside the Stevens Center.

Gonzaga took an early lead, winning on two courts and taking the doubles point. On court 1,
Theo McDonald and
Oliver Andersson's match finished first as they fell 6-1 against August Holmgren and David Norfeldt.
Sasha Trkulja and
Leon Roider came back winning 6-3 against Nico Borter and Marvin Schaber, leaving the final match on court three to determine the doubles point.
Matthew Perkins and
Matthew Hollingworth were able to clinch the doubles point with 7-6 victory on No. 3.

San Diego's Holgrem got the Toreros their first point of the match by defeating Hollingworth 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Court six was the next to finish, as USD's Blake Kasday defeated
Hunter Egger 6-3, 6-2(2-7), 6-2. GU's Trkulja won his match, securing a 6-4, 7-6(7-0) victory at No. 2 to secure another point for the Zags.

Roider fell 6-4, 7-6(7-4) to San Diego's Borter at No. 3 singles, while Andersson came back from a first set loss to get the Bulldogs their final point of the match on court four. Schaber won the first set 7-6 (7-4) but Andersson responded with a quick 6-1 win in the second set. The third set finished in favor of Andersson, 7-5. The match on court five would be the deciding point in the match, and Pablo Gomez battled USD's Garrett Kurtz for three sets before falling 6-3, 5-7, 6-4, giving USD the 4-3 victory.
