SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men's rowing team hosts Santa Clara and Washington State Saturday, May 1 at the Johnson Family Boathouse on Silver Lake. It is the second and final home event for the Zags this season.
"This is going to be a fun race," Head Coach
Dan Gehn said. "Both these crews will give us all we can handle. This is Santa Clara's first visit to the Northwest since I started here, and Washington State will visit us with the Fawley Cup on the line."
Gonzaga has won four-straight Fawley Cups against the Cougars and have only surrendered the Fawley Cup four times in its 30-plus year history.
Saturday's race will be a 2,000-meter race for the Varsity 8 and JV8 boats. The Varsity 8 will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the JV8 boats at 9:30 a.m.
